June 30th, 2008 by Aaron

Well I haven’t really been up to much in the last week or so. I have been a bit sick sleeping a massive 16hrs on Wednesday and went to doctors to find out I have an ear infection. Fun times, so I have been on the antibiotics but all good now. A lot has been happing over seas with kiwis doing well, mike, sam, brad and josh ripping in Norway and the slalom teams, junior and seniors in Europe. My back is feeling heaps better lately so things are looking good for getting into shape. As I was at home all last week sitting on the couch or sleeping I ripped through some movies and pleased to see on TV our beloved sports café is coming back to air! Yus! Some other good movies/clips are, search on youtube- Billy t james

World Cups

June 19th, 2008 by Aaron

The first world cup kicks off the season in Europe this weekend. For the first time in a few years ill be spending the whole NZ winter in New Zealand. To be honest its not really the way I wanted it to be but that’s just too bad. There are a few kiwis that have made their self funded trips to Europe, the C2 a C1 and two girls. The C1-James and Luuka get the chance to qualify for the Olympics with two races to make the top 16 countries. Good luck to them. Ha if you are reading this with not much to do check out some funny videos from ‘that guy’ from www.moon tv.co.nz

Winter is here….

Rotorua..well its all been happening up here.. Today Andy ran a Day Two slalom at the Kaituna river at Okere Falls. It was great to see heaps of people turning up for this event/training. Not sure on who won but my money would be on either Mike or Johann as I didn’t race.… My back is getting better every day and I was happy to do a bit of coaching today with the juniors. In the coming weeks we also farewell our NZ Junior teams, Mike and Brad are also heading to Norway for some creek boat action… I however have decided to stay in NZ for the winter as I cant really afford to get to the World Cups. A bit stink I know but that’s life. So if anyone wants some coaching or to go paddling this winter get in contact with me. Ha I also have to write this for Ciaren.. Go All Blacks vs Ireland!

Kiwis Going Hard

May 24th, 2008 by Aaron

Ah the weekend…Well again I haven’t been up to much other than physio and teaching. Friday was my last day at Lakes High. It was a pretty fun eight weeks, some highlights were kicking it around at school camp, a killer roast lunch, the endless supply of coffee and meeting some hard case students and teachers!! Cheers everyone

Ah it’s good to see some kiwis ripping it up over the other side of the world. This is my old DR team mate Blair Trotman hitting up some waterfall. Also check out www.tevatour.com as Sam Sutton has joined the tour and going large on a 26m waterfall. Shot!
